Bo Frye tabbed new Rider boss

ST. MARYS – Although the first name may be different the last name won’t be as Bo Frye will be named the next head football coach at St. Marys pending board approval.

Frye, a 2006 St. Marys Memorial graduate and All-State performer on the gridiron has been the offensive coordinator under his father Doug who resigned from the post in early April after a successful tenure that saw his teams go 57-21 in his second tenure and 148-56 overall in his time leading the blue and gold.

“My family and I have been a part of Roughrider football for many years. Our coaching staff is a group of people that cares deeply for our community, school system, and football program. It is great to see our leaders promote a member of our staff. I am very proud of Bo and believe he will do a great job. I will be there to help and support him every day” proudly proclaimed Doug Frye on the hiring.

St. Marys kicks off their 2021 season on August 20th at Bowlus Field in London, Ohio before returning home a week later to open WBL play by hosting Defiance.
