OTTAWA – Ottawa Glandorf led 2-0 in the first minute on a Grady Toumazos basket in their state ranked battle with visiting Hiland Saturday night, but would not find themselves ahead again until a Colin White buzzer beater sent the Titans to a 59-56 win at the Supreme Court.

Though officials determined a timeout was issued to Hiland after the make and returned .9 to the clock, White stole the desperation heave on the ensuing entry by the Hawks to run out the clock.
OG has now won 26 in a row on their home court but had to battle back multiple times from double digit deficits to secure the victory.
White led all scorers with 27 points in the game with his Titans (14-2) needing every one of his four buzzer beating shots on the night. The future Buckeye finished the first period with a two point goal while ending each of the next three with a shot from beyond the arc against a tough Hiland defense.
Hiland senior Samuel Detweiler controlled the opening quarter for the visiting Hawks (10-4) with a dazzling array of jumpers and quick moves for 12 of his team high 19 points to snag a 16-11 advantage.
Fellow senior Alex Yoder, a 6’7 post netted six points in the first two quarters while grabbing multiple offensive rebounds but was lost to an apparent injury for the rest of the evening during a tense second quarter battle.
Triples from Alex Wagner and Grady Toumazos kept the Titans within shouting distance before the half but a deemed charging foul on a close play nearly broke up the home teams momentum just seconds before White’s left wing buzzer beater cut the lead to 31-29.
Alexander Miller, Nicholas Wigton, and Detweiler all notched three point goals in the third quarter for Hiland as they amassed a 48-35 lead but found themselves again unable to stop White as he hit from deep to cut the deficit to 10.
Toumazos, a 6’0 junior finished the game with 15 points and ended the night with a flurry as he hit a pair of long balls and a short jumper in the fourth quarter to get OG within single digits.
Trailing 56-54 in the waning moments the Titans snagged a loose ball on the floor and raced end to end as White slammed home a tying basket just shy of a minute to go.
