OTTOVILLE – Featuring a mix of returning and incoming talent the Big Green ladies are seeking to make their mark on the always tough Putnam County League this season.
Led by fourth year head coach Doug German the green and gold enter 2021 following a season in which they ended 9-5-2 and were defeated in their opening round tournament contest by rival Kalida 1-0.
Four seniors return for the Big Green in the form of Aly Saxton, Alexis Sanders, Leah Brinkman, and Shayla German. Five juniors join the roster with Becca Turnwald, Dana Trenkamp, Eryn Kemper, Dani Swint, and Skylar Turnwald expected to see the pitch for varsity action.
Goalkeeper Madison Hoersten headlines a five member sophomore class for Ottoville that also includes Jessa Burgei, Reese Horstman, Gabby Metzger, and Delaney Boecker.
First year players in the program total 11 and includes a pair of future Big Green goalkeepers in the duo of Ella Druckemiller and Bryleigh Napao.
Mila Kemper, Morgan Hoersten, Makayla Unterbrink, Elyse Walston, Isabelle Moreno, Ella Burkhart, Meline Peck, Andreya Swint, Haley Horstman, and Paige Turnwald round out a talented and deep first year class for Ottoville.
The Big Green open the 2021 season on Saturday, August 21st at 11:00 A.M. playing host to a Lima Central Catholic squad that defeated them 2-1 in Lima a year ago.
