COLUMBUS – 2020 football playoff brackets have begun to be released by the OHSAA today and feature the first round seedings and matchups for every school who chose to not opt out this season.
St. Marys will open the playoffs by playing host to Greenville at Grand Lake Health Stadium on Friday night October 9th.
If the Roughriders emerge victorious they will play host once again, this time to either Franklin, a team they have met twice recently in the postseason and have split a pair of games with, or Vandalia Butler.
The rest of the Western Buckeye League schedule has also been revealed and features a conference rematch as Shawnee will play host to rival Wapakoneta, a team they beat just a few weeks prior 9-7.
Celina will also host a first round game as the Bulldogs will battle Dayton Carroll.
Bath hosts Swanton on Saturday night during their first round contest.
Elida is hosting their own game next Friday evening against Monroe.
Two WBL schools found themselves with byes and will have to wait a week to host their first playoff game as Kenton will get the winner of Ontario/Vermillion and Van Wert waits for the victor of Port Clinton vs Sandusky Perkins.
In Division 5 Ottawa Glandorf secured a bye and will await the winner of Orrville and Fairview in the second round.
