Aldrich, Hooper, Jacobs, Siefker lead All-Region selections

The 2023 United Soccer Coaches Fall Girls High School All-Central Region teams were announced on Tuesday evening with a quartet of girls soccer standouts were honored with selections.

Myka Aldrich and Makenna Siefker of Ottawa Glandorf along with St. Marys keeper Ella Jacobs and Liberty Benton senior Emma Hooper were tagged for their outstanding seasons by the United Soccer Coaches. Next for the four players is a chance to be named an All-American which will be released on Tuesday.

Aldrich and Siefker combined for 59 goals and 19 assists this season while being honored for the second consecutive campaign. Aldrich, a senior at Ottawa Glandorf compiled 69 goals and 31 assists in her four seasons while Siefker, a junior broke the schools single season goal record with 36 and sits within striking distance of the all-time career mark with 82 currently.

Ella Jacobs, a senior headed to play collegiately at Heidelberg shined between the pipes for a St. Marys squad that finished with 10 wins and saw her honored as a first team All-Ohioan. This year Jacobs stopped 115 opponent attempts while allowing just 1.94 goals per game.

Senior Emma Hooper led Liberty Benton to an 11-3-2 season with a team high 13 goals and seven helpers and ended her Eagle career with 29 scores.

Perrysburg put a pair of Yellow Jackets on the list in the form of Sophomores Camille Francis and Emma Ogdahl. The duo paced their teams 20-1-1 run to the regional finals with 20 goals/10 assists and 25 goals/11 helpers respectively.
